The Salem High lacrosse teams swept the American Conference finals on Tuesday and will have home games today in the regional tournament.

The lucky number was 11 as the Salem boys beat Cave Spring, 11-6 at Spartan Field, and the girls avenged their only prior defeat with an 11-5 win over Hidden Valley at Bogle Field.

The Spartan teams will now play a doubleheader tonight at Spartan Field against National Conference runner-up teams. The girls will host Rockbridge at 5 pm, followed by a boys’ game against Liberty Christian Academy.

The Salem teams swept the Conference semifinals at Spartan Field last Saturday. Lilly Blair had nine goals and three assists to lead the girls to a 22-2 win over Cave Spring and the boys followed with a 15-1 rout of Christiansburg.

Salem’s girls are now 15-1 on the season and the boys are 11-4-1.
