Former Roanoke College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Page Moir will be presented with a Virginia House of Delegates Commending Resolution prior to the Maroons game against Shenandoah this Saturday, which starts at 1 pm.

Delegate Greg Habeeb will present Moir with Commending Resolution (HR 373) for his 27 years as the Maroons head coach, which netted a school and ODAC record 428 wins. The Maroons and Hornets will tip-off at 1 pm and the presentation will be part of Roanoke Basketball Alumni Day. The RC Women’s team will face Eastern Mennonite at 3:30 p.m. that same day.

Moir’s teams won three Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships, made six trips to the NCAA Tournament and had five seasons with 20 or more wins. Moir was honored by his peers as the ODAC Coach of the Year in 1994 and again in his final season (2016) when he led RC to its best season since 2008-09 with 19 wins including both regional and national rankings during the year. In addition, D3hoops.com named Moir the 2016 South Region Coach of the Year.
