James Madison University welcomed new students from Salem as part of its incoming transfer class and Class of 2030 for the fall 2026 semester.
The university said its incoming transfer students represent an accomplished and diverse group from 21 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and three countries.
Three Salem students enrolled as transfer students for the fall semester. They are:
Grant Ingram, who plans to major in geography.
Hannah Pennewell, who plans to major in marketing.
Sarah Tennant, who plans to major in accounting.
JMU also welcomed its Class of 2030, which includes students from 40 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and 20 countries and territories outside the United States.
Ten students from Salem enrolled in the incoming class. They are:
Marjorie Lester, accounting.
Caitlin Underwood, biology.
Dylan Ludlow, biotechnology.
Emma Jones, communication sciences and disorders.
Addison Snead, health sciences.
Zachary Bocock, kinesiology.
Anna Hall, kinesiology.
Anaya Brown, nursing.
Nevaeh Reynolds, psychology.
Aubrey Allebaugh, psychology.
