A cafeteria full of students and their mothers play board games

At East Salem Elementary School on Tuesday, April 11, students from pre-K to fifth grade celebrated Mother & Son Game Night with their mothers in the school’s cafeteria. Though the event was advertised towards mothers and sons, daughters were not excluded from the event. Well-known board games like Monopoly and Connect Four were played, though a few novelty games like Jenga and Don’t Drop Your Marbles also engaged attendees. Games were played for their own sake and while games were mostly played between mother-and-son pairs, a couple groups of four were formed to play more involved activities. Many game rounds were played and mothers had lots of fun lightly competing with their children.
