
Delaney Eller, a graduate of Glenvar High School, recently completed a college career running track and cross country for Emory & Henry University and Radford University.
Delaney graduated from Emory & Henry University in 2025 where she participated on the Wasps’ track and distance teams. She graduated magna cum laude with a 3.89 GPA, finishing in three years with a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Mathematics.
Eller finished at E&H as the current school record holder in the cross country 6k, indoor 800, mile, 3k and 5k, and outdoor 1,500, 3k and 5k. She was nominated for E&H Women’s Athlete of the Year twice, Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year.
This past May, Delaney graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a graduate certificate in Business Analytics from Radford University, completing her requirements in one year. She was one of five Division 1 student-athletes graduating in May at the graduate level.
At Radford Delaney was named the Big South Women’s Cross Country Newcomer of the Year and was a nominee for Radford Women’s Newcomer of the Year while being named to the Division 1 All-Academic Team. She finished 15th in the Big South Cross Country Championships and sixth in the Big South Indoor Track Championships in the 5K. She ran a time of 17:46, the ninth best all-time for the Highlanders.
Delaney missed half the 2025 cross country season with a broken foot, then broke her hip running the 5K in the indoor track championships preventing her from competing in the 2026 outdoor season.
