The Glenvar Middle School football team wrapped up a successful season with a 22-0 shutout of Hidden Valley Middle at Highlander Field last week. The Highlanders delivered a dominant performance on both sides of the ball to finish the season 8-2.
Glenvar got off to a strong start in the first half, as Kayden Williams found the end zone twice to give Glenvar a commanding 16-0 lead at the half. In the second half, the Highlanders’ defense continued to stand tall, shutting down Hidden Valley and holding them scoreless throughout the game. Williams added his third touchdown of the night in the third quarter to help seal the victory.
“I’m extremely proud of this group and the way they competed all season long,” said Glenvar coach Raysean Priest. “These players have worked hard, continued to improve and shown what it means to play together as a team. This shutout was a great example of their effort and determination on both sides of the ball. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished this season, and these Highlanders have a lot to be proud of.”
