Green thumbs or ANY thumbs welcomed at Salem Fresh Ideas Garden (FIG) first planting Saturday morning, April 22. This Fresh Ideas Garden (FIG) has donated over 4,700 pounds -100 percent of its produce for the Salem-Roanoke County Food Pantry in the last two years. Come out and help us Sow Seeds for Feeding Needs. Located between Market and Clay streets (in Salem behind City Hall). FIG is also a community outreach mission of Salem Presbyterian Church. Other volunteer times are Monday evenings 7 p.m. and Thursday mornings 9 a.m. during the growing season. For additional details email salemvolunteergarden@gmail.com.
