The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between July25-31. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.

 

Those arrested and their charges were listed as:

July 25 – Audrey S. James, 34, providing false name to police, forgery; Tyshawn T. Walker, 20, failure to appear; Brandon L. Milliner, 19, failure to appear; Brittney L. Edwards, 26, contempt of court; Marcus J. Andrews, 20, failure to appear

July 26 – Amy R. Cromer, 43, public intoxication; Tymon M. Smith, 25, procuring a vehicle with intent to defraud; James A. Brooks, 38, domestic assault and battery; Laura A. Speer, 36, domestic assault and battery, assault on a police officer

July 27 – Justin E. Thompson, 28, domestic assault and battery, strangulation; Robert M. Caldwell, 35, public intoxication

July 28 – Timothy L. Harris, 27, failure to appear; Randy L. Fink, 32, providing false name to police; Shanista Y. Caldwell, 30, fai8lure to appear; Samantha D. Snead, providing false name to police

July 29 – Jesse M. Lawson Jr., 64, public intoxication; Karen J. Ghaul, 41, domestic assault and battery; Leonard A. Marshall, 58, violation of probation; William T. Branch, 34, domestic assault and battery, resisting arrest; Jeffrey L. Webster, 54, driving under the influence; Roberta L. Cassety, 53, public intoxication

July 30 – John D. Lorton, 46, possession of marijuana

July 31 – Katie T. Meyer, 50, public intoxication; Wesley M. Overstreet, 20, failure to appear

 

Also reported were the following felonies:

July 25 – Grand larceny, 1800 block of Braeburn Drive

July 26 – Shoplifting, 800 block of W. Main Street; bad checks, obtaining money/goods by false pretense

July 27 – Grand larceny, 300 block of N. Broad Street

July 28 – Burglary, non-residence, 1000 block of Texas Street

July 320 – Grand larceny, 1800 block of Harrogate Drive
