The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between August 15-21. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.

August 15 – Jacqueline J. Williams, 41, bad checks, obtaining money/goods by false pretense; Andrew M. Hamilton, 31, possession of a controlled substance; Richard B. Turner, 36, possession of a controlled substance; Orlando L. Noel Jr., possession of a controlled substance; Zachary G. Mills, 26, violation of a protective order; Augustus R. Vaughn, 39, urinating in public
August 16 – Steven M. Dwojewski, 25, possession of marijuana; Joshua L. Flinchum, 27, failure to appear; Jackie L. Lilly, 50, public intoxication, possession of marijuana; Dominique D. Brevard, 23, possession of marijuana
August 17 – Alexandria G. Moss, 23, assault and battery; Nicole E. Doyle, contempt of court; Treva E. Doss, 33, contempt of court; Antonio R. Johnson, domestic assault and battery, strangulation
August 18 – Christopher S. Thompson, 29, possession of marijuana; Ira A. Hayden, 24, possession of marijuana; Amanda L. Statzer, 36, public intoxication
August 19 – Leron W. Smith, 27, public intoxication; Kierra L. Mather, 20, driving under the influence
August 20 – Alan C. Coleman, 21, driving under the influence; Domanik E. Basham, 23, possession of marijuana
August 21 – Christopher S. Laughon, 53, perjury; Devante M. Payne, 22, aggravated assault and battery, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, two charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor; Richard J. Dennis, 55, violation of probation; Darrel L. Dent, 27, failure to appear; Perry W. Hale, 53, assault and battery

August 21 – Grand larceny, 1900 block of Electric Road
