The brand new Roanoke College swim team will take the horn for the 2017-18 season on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Salem Family YMCA. The Maroon Opener is one of four home meets in the program’s first season under Head Coach Scott Thacker.
The Maroons will go head-to-head against William Peace at 2 pm Saturday. RC then hits the road for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Relays on Oct. 14 at Washington and Lee in Lexington, Va.
On the 21st, Roanoke matches up against Greensboro, Bridgewater, and Guilford in Greensboro, N.C. RC closes out October in Frostburg, Md. on the 27th to face Mary Washington and host Frostburg State.
On Nov. 4, the Maroons travel to Virginia Wesleyan for a dual meet with the Marlins. Roanoke returns home the 11thto face Randolph, Ferrum and Hollins before taking a three-week break from competition.
The ODAC Championships will be held on Feb. 9-11 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
