Beliveau Estate Winery has received a Concordance Gold Medal in the 2017 Wines of the South Competition for its “Discovery” 2015, a sweet white wine made from estate-grown Niagara.
A Concordance Gold is awarded when all judges unanimously rank a wine as a gold placing wine. “Discovery” 2015 was also named the competition’s “Best of White” wine and “Best of Virginia Fruit” wine.
The Wines of the South competition annually invites wineries of 14 southern states to submit wine for judging in their October competition.
The 2018 Virginia Governor’s Cup: Beliveau Estate received three silver medals in the 2018 prestigious Virginia Governors Cup competition. “Fireside Chat” a 2015 Cabernet Franc, “Trailblazer” a 2015 Merlot and “Acapella” a 2017 red blend each took home this coveted medal. According to the Virginiawine.org website, the Virginia Governors Cup is “one of the most stringent competitions in the United States.”
Beliveau Estate Winery is located in the Catawba Valley 12 miles from downtown Blacksburg. The winery is open Wednesday thru Sunday. The above award-winning wines are all currently available for sale.
