The top two teams in the ODAC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament field have a familiar ring as Washington and Lee University and Randolph-Macon College lead the seedings for a fourth successive season. The pair earn byes thru the quarterfinal round.
Nationally 10th-ranked Washington and Lee University (13-4, 8-0 ODAC) tops the six-team field as the #1 seed, which awards the Generals hosting responsibilities for the semifinals and final on Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6. Randolph-Macon College (10-6, 7-1) opens the six-team tournament slotted second, also receiving a bye.
Lynchburg College (8-7, 6-2) and Shenandoah University (11-6, 5-3) earned the third and fourth seeds, respectively. Those designations come with hosting duties for the quaterfinals on Wednesday. LC was set to host sixth-seeded Roanoke College (8-7, 3-5) while fifth-seeded Bridgewater College (11-5, 4-4) was at Shenandoah.
If the Maroons won Wednesday they would play at W&L against Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon at a time to be determined.
