Four Roanoke College women have been named to the All-ODAC softball team.
Katie Smith was named first-team, while Teresa Wagner and Taylor Carter were named second-team and Emily Salsberry was a third-team choice.
Smith hit .405 during the season which was the sixth highest batting average in the league. Her .490 on-base percentage was fifth-best in the league. She had a .484 slugging percentage and her 51 hits was seventh most among ODAC players. It marks the fourth All-ODAC honor for Smith and her first, first-team accolade.
Wagner finished the season with a 10-7 record in the circle for the Maroons. Her 66 strikeouts was the 10th most in the league, while her 1.96 ERA was eighth best in the ODAC. Her opponents hit just .255 against her this season and she averaged 4.30 strikeouts per game.
Carter was named to the all-conference team for the first time after hitting .352 with 33 stolen bases which was second most in the ODAC. Her .464 on-base percentage was seventh highest in the league and her 25 walks was third most. She had 44 hits and scored 42 runs which ranked fourth in the ODAC.
Salsberry finished with nine wins and two saves for the Maroons. Her 1.53 ERA and her .213 opponents batting average against her both ranked sixth in the ODAC. She had 73 strikeouts in 100.1 innings of work.
