The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between June 12-18. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.
Those arrested and their charges were listed as:
June 12 – Shanika N. Hale, 31, failure to appear; India R. Buckner, 24, reckless handling of a firearm; Jamie D. Johnson, 48, counterfeiting; Duane M. Poindexter, 57, possession of counterfeit money; and Bruce M. Barrows, 46, public intoxication.
June 13 – Philip M. Wills, 21, contempt of court; Brittney R. Shrader, 26, embezzlement; Christopher D. Francisco, 18, contributing to the delinquency of a minor; Nathaniel C. St. Clair, 18, contributing to delinquency of minor; Carman E. Bayne, 54, violation of protective order; Spencer C. Stewart, 18, contributing to delinquency of minor; Janette L. Leech, 52, domestic assault and battery; Jackson L. Galbraith, 18, contributing to delinquency of minor; and Gabrielle N. Thacker, 25, domestic assault and battery.
June 14 – Frances S. Vermillion, 67, failure to appear; Samantha M. Knotts, 30, neglect; Nicholas A. Spradlin, 28, possession of marijuana; and Vernon D. Gilliam, 25, possession of marijuana.
June 15 – Blake T. Gallagher, 29, failure to appear; Brandon M. Mitchell, 26, failure to appear; and Christa R. Mack, 41, domestic assault and battery.
June 16 – Brody W. Deel, 21, public intoxication; James R. Crawford, 34, threats to kill, strangulation of another; and Carman E. Bayne, 54, assault and battery.
June 17 – Tyler J. Griffith, 23, failure to appear; Jeanette B. Hopkins, 87, public intoxication; and Zoe C. Martin, 21, DUI.
June 18 – Jason E. Revels, 40, public intoxication; Richard A. Rabik Jr., 28, forgery; Beau J. Whelby, 39, possession of marijuana; Cierra R. Jones, 23, failure to appear; and Sarah E. Bostic, 26, possession of controlled substance.
