The Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association(RAYSA) tournaments are being played at the James I. Moyer Complex in Salem and Darrel Shell Park in Roanoke County this week.
The RAYSA tournaments opened with several games on Sunday, followed by a full slate of action Monday. Salem’s 10A and 12A teams lost opening round games but the 16A team defeated Williamson Road in their opener. All three were scheduled to play again Tuesday but those games were postponed due to inclement weather.
Championship games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Moyer Complex and Darrell Shell. Look for results in next week’s edition.
