The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged August 21-August 27.

Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18. Those arrested and their charges were listed as: August 21 – Phillip J. Maina, 18, assault and battery, contributing to delinquency of minor; Nathaniel L. White, 18, robbery, contributing to delinquency of minor; and Benjamin K. Spencer, 34, domestic assault and battery August 22 – Christopher B. Suttles, 35, domestic assault and battery; Ernest J. Kiser, 51, possession of marijuana; and Autumn N. Miller, 26, possession of marijuana August 23 – Dauvon E. Otey, 34, public intoxication; George E. Bettis, 77, burglary, insufficient funds check; Jeannell L. Jackson, 27, disorderly conduct; Robert W. Renzetti, 55, public intoxication; Stanlesha R. Simmons, 24, false name to police, obtain goods by false pretense; and Chestin J. Wilson, 30, passing counterfeit bills, false name to police August 24 – J’Mandre R. Jones, 24, possession of marijuana; Tiffany A. Webster, 38, possession of controlled substances; Ronald W. Fulton lll, 34, violation of probation; and Freddie S. Dempsey, 46, DUI August 25 – David L. Janney, 60, possession of marijuana; and Carl J. Barnett, 21, possession of marijuana August 26 – Gina M. Bellassai, 21, public intoxication; and Karen R. Barton, 46, possession of marijuana, obstructing justice August 27 – Seth C. Largen, 25, public intoxication; Shawn M. McGraw, 30, assault and battery; Ian-Michael J. Christian, 21, failure to appear; and Kimberly A. Worrell, 26, contempt of court, violation of probation
