Judy Marie (Robinson) Hall, 72, of Salem, left this earth and joined her Lord and Savior on September 23. She was born on October 10, 1947, the first of three children of Thurman Marion Robinson and Ella Frances Sorrells Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Steven Lonnie Robinson Sr., all of Covington, Virginia.
After studying at Staunton School of Cosmetology, Judy became a Hair Stylist in Lexington, VA. Later, she turned her creativity towards cake decorating from which she retired. Judy had a quick-witted sense of humor and was the most outgoing “introvert” that you would ever meet. She was loved by many and created lasting friendships throughout her journey while living in Virginia and Tennessee.
Her faith in God remained strong throughout her life to the very end. The most important thing to Judy, above all else, was providing an opportunity for others to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Judy had an assignment to witness to those hurting, lost or in need of a gentle reminder how important they were to Jesus and there is hope and eternal life. She was genuine and intentional in her actions. Judy would prepare small tokens of encouragement and always kept a variety of materials with her so when God placed her in a situation to reach someone, she would be ready to answer the call.
She loved on purpose. Every gift had a meaning, and she would explain why she selected that gift specifically for you. Judy always had an opinion on how something should be done. More times than not, her way was the most efficient, productive and results-driven path. She was excellent at problem-solving, though she could have learned to delegate more, she would dig in and get it done, and we would be grateful for it.
She was a creative talent – – even when packing up her belongings, folders were found with notes stating, “make 4 copies”, inside would be a layout page from clippings she had collected, and each had meaning. She would write her initials on items she purchased along with the date and often a short line or two about the day, documenting the memory and she bought it. She had handwritten notes hidden in books, on the back of artwork or in totes which she had previously packed knowing her final days on this earth would someday be over. Those messages of wisdom and love will forever linger for all to read as they scatter across generations.
Judy is survived by her only daughter, Stephanie Hall Vita, of Mt. Juliet TN; one granddaughter, Victoria A. Vita, of Mt.
