Second seeded Elizabeth City State University bested top-ranked Shaw University, 3-1, to seize the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA) crown last Saturday evening at the Salem Civic Center. Elizabeth City State receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament, which will start November 16 at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse on the campus of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.
