G.W. Carver Elementary School and East Salem Elementary School partnered with several organizations and businesses in Salem last week to provide gift cards, toys, clothes, toiletries and non-perishable food items to students during the holiday season.

A total of 96 G.W. Carver families received food bags and wrapped gifts, while 86 East Salem families received products and presents. Many of the families who received items would have otherwise not had enough food to eat or presents to open during the division’s winter break.
