William James Correll, Sr. “Pete”, 84 of Salem, VA went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2024.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Willie James Correll and Dora Cooper Correll and his infant daughter, Laura Elizabeth.
William is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nadine Correll; his daughter, Billie Jo DeWeese; son, William James Correll, Jr; and his grandchildren, Ryan Correll, Travis DeWeese, Elisha DeWeese, Wade Correll. Pete also had four great grandchildren, Rosemary Cuddy, Bradley Cuddy, Tyler Correll, and Damien Correll; four surviving brothers, George, Larry, Charles, and Gary; two surviving sisters, Mary Anne Drewry and Betty Jean Crumbley; and many nieces and nephews
William liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed going on football trips to watch NFL games and was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. William worked for Valleydale and Gardner Denver before transfer to Redrill of Sherman, Texas where he retired from. He also worked at First Team Automall.
A celebration of life will be held on July 20, 2024 in Troutville, VA.
