Pursuant to Section 22.1-29.1 of the Code of Virginia, as amended to date, notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salem will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m., October 7, 2024, in Council Chambers, City Hall, 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia, to
receive views of citizens within the Salem School District regarding the appointment to fill the
expiring terms ending 12/31/2024 of
two members on the
City of Salem School Board.
All candidates seeking appointment must submit a letter of interest and résumé to the Deputy Clerk
of Council. Submissions are requested by noon on Friday, October 4, 2024, however in all cases must be submitted prior to the closing of this public hearing. Candidates may be
interviewed individually by City Council.
