Roanoke County survey on potential solutions for high crash areas available

Roanoke County, Botetourt County and the town of Vinton are collaborating on a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan through the Federal Highway Administration’s Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) program with the goal of preventing deaths and serious injuries for all roadway users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, commercial vehicle operators, transit riders and  micromobility users. 

About 50 people attended community meetings held over the past two weeks. Now localities want feedback from citizens on proposed solutions for high crash intersections and corridors including Routes 11, 24, 116, 220, 221, 311, 419 and 460. Surveys are open through Sept. 30. Additional information and survey links are available on each jurisdiction’s Safe Streets and Roads For All webpage:
