On Tuesday, the entire Glenvar campus, including Glenvar elementary, middle and high schools, were placed in “SECURE mode” after reports of a suspicious person on campus, according to an announcement made by Roanoke County Public Schools.
The initial lockdown was lifted, but access to the campus remained restricted, and parents were asked not to come to the schools. Students and staff were reported safe and resumed regular instruction. As of press time on Tuesday, the Roanoke County Police Department was continuing its investigation into the incident.
