The Roanoke College women’s lacrosse team grabbed another ODAC win as they took down Virginia Wesleyan, 20-1 in Virginia Beach last Saturday. With the win the Maroons improved to 9-5 on the season and 6-1 in ODAC games.
Roanoke got to work in a hurry, scoring within the first minute. From there, they went on to score 13 more unanswered goals in the first half. It was 14-0 before the break.
Twelve different RC players found the back of the net in the game and seven of those players had multi-point games. Grace Koutouzis led all scorers with eight points on five goals and three assists. Maddie McDonald added a hat trick while Zoe Blair and Audrey Leith rounded out the other multi-goal scorers with two each.
The Maroons were scheduled to play at the University of Lynchburg on Wednesday followed by a home game against Eastern Mennonite this Saturday at noon.
