The Glenvar girls soccer team is on an eight game winning streak after starting the season 1-2. The Highlanders defeated James River and Patrick County in the past week to improve to 8-2.
Last Thursday in Buchanan the girls dominated James River for a 7-0 win. Cam Stevens had three goals and two assists and Adalee Harvey, Annie George, Anna Vecellio and Avery Steger had one goal each. Maddie Frackelton had 10 saves in the goal.
On Tuesday at home the girls downed Patrick County in a Three Rivers District game, 10-2. Stevens had four goals in this one and Davin Tate had three goals and three assists.
Glenvar will put their winning streak on the line Friday when they travel to play Class 3 Northside on Jim Hickam Field.
