Salem Fire and EMS Medic 406 donated its 25-year-old ambulance to Salem High School’s new Emergency Medical Technician program on Thursday. This is the first year that the high school is offering EMT classes. Students who complete the program will be certified EMTs. In addition to the EMT program, the Body Shop and Auto Repair programs will be working on and servicing the 1999 Ford. The donation would not have been made possible without the support of Salem City Council, the City Manager’s office, the Salem City School Board and Salem Fire & EMS.
