Recent events indicate that President Trump helped instigate an unprovoked Israeli war against Iran violating his MAGA campaign promises to wage peace.

Trump used diplomatic sabotage to give Israel cover for a regime-change attack against Iran.

Knowing that Iran is firm on retaining peaceful nuclear enrichment, Trump’s so-called “deal” insisted on zero enrichment. The IAEA cited “past traces” but never documented that Iran had violated mandates.

On this basis, Israel illegally struck Iran pre-emptively. Trump’s misleading diplomacy means that no nation can trust his word. His statements and a similar U.S.-assisted Ukrainian attack on Russian bases on the eve of Istanbul peace talks reinforces Trump’s pattern of diplomatic deception.

Israel’s attack on Iran could have been avoided if Iran had nukes–a lesson currently being absorbed by other nations which will now seek nukes.

Trump’s military birthday parade was a bust with unfilled bleachers and sparse onlookers. Trump proclaimed that protesters would be severely punished—an un-American violation of free speech. This draft dodging president had a flag parachuted down to him.

Opposition to Trump manifested in over 2,000 peaceful “No Kings” rallies across 50 states and even within the parade itself. Army troops walked instead of marching past him—perhaps because they remembered his proposed cuts to vets and their oath to the U.S. Constitution—not to Trump.

Congress should have a proper discussion and vote on whether to engage in another “forever” war—this time in Iran. Another big war is not what the American people voted for, but escalation seems to be happening automatically—a war that could stop the flow of oil, ignite a regional war or even WWIII.
