Sophomore Adrianna Cortez scored the game’s only goal Saturday as the Roanoke College women’s soccer team defeated Jersey City, 1-0, at the Shellenberger Classic, hosted by the University of Lynchburg.
The Maroons won both games in Lynchburg last weekend to even their record at 2-2. On Friday they shut out Meredith College, 2-0.
Roanoke was scheduled to host Randolph-Macon in an ODAC match on Wednesday of this week. On Friday they’re at Greensboro College.
