The Glenvar Middle School football team will have their last home game tonight when the Highlanders host Blacksburg at 6:30 pm.
Last Thursday in Christiansburg the Highlanders lost to the host Blue Demons, 49-28. Kiptyn Jones ran for one touchdown and threw for three TDs for the Highlanders. Bryson Kuzmich caught two touchdown passes and Ryland Marshall hauled in the other one. Hudson Luton led Glenvar in receptions with five and Raylan Franklin had four catches. Jaxson Myers led in tackles with nine and Owen Paxton had seven.
“The guys are playing hard and the effort is good, this is a game where we could have quit but we didn’t,” said coach Josh Jones. “That should pay off for us over the next two weeks.”
Glenvar’s final game is at Hidden Valley a week from tonight.
