Junior Rebecca Carr scored both Roanoke College goals in a 2-0 win last Saturday over Guilford College in the Maroons’ “Senior Day” match at Kerr Stadium in Salem.
Carr scored her first goal just four minutes into the match, assisted by Brooke Nicholson.
Twenty minutes later, Riley Dobranski delivered the pass that Carr would turn into the final goal of the day.
The win puts Roanoke back up above .500, at 5-4-1, and moves them to 2-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play. The Maroons had a big one scheduled for Wednesday at home against the University of Lynchburg but results were too late for publication. This Saturday they’re at Bridgewater College for a 1 pm match.
