
The Bridgewater College volleyball team will be here tonight, Thursday, for a 6:30 pm match against Roanoke College at the Cregger Center in Salem. The Maroons come in at 9-8 overall and 4-3 in the conference after a big win over Randolph Macon last Saturday.
The Maroons earned a huge Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over Randolph Macon, outlasting the Yellow Jackes in five sets. The Maroons won a marathon by scores of 29-27, 25-19, 25-15, 22-25, 15-10.
The Yellow Jackets led 7-6 in the fifth set before the Maroons took control. On Teagan Hubble’s serve, Roanoke won the next four points and led by at least two the rest of the way. It was RC’s first win over R-MC since 2021.
Emma Catoe hit a match-high 16 kills with three blocks for RC. Kaci Morrison had 12 kills and Danica Taylor had 10 kills and 14 digs. Anastazia Arvan had nine kills while Haley Torbert added eight while Makenzie Board contributed 39 assists and 13 digs.
