Veterans enrolled in VA health care can receive free influenza vaccinations at all Salem VA Health Care System locations.
The VA is encouraging Veterans to get vaccinated early to reduce the risk of severe illness during peak flu season and to protect themselves and those around them.
Flu shots are available through three options:
- During any scheduled appointment, including primary care, specialty care or mental health visits.
- Walk-in clinics, available at all care sites from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Veterans can visit Primary Care to request a vaccine.
- Drive-thru service at the Salem VA Medical Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The trailer is located on Patriot Boulevard in front of Building 1.
