The Region 4D volleyball tournament will begin on Tuesday, November 5th, at home sites. Salem will be involved but the Spartans were yet to know their opponent at press time. The most likely scenario is a trip to E.C. Glass, but seedings weren’t finalized until after Tuesday games.
The Spartans will take a 13-7 overall record into the tournament after defeating Pulaski County in their regular season finale last Thursday in Salem. The Spartans won 25-21, 25-22 and 25-10 to finish the River Ridge season with a 5-7 record.
It was Senior Night and five Spartan seniors were honored, Gabby Crawley, Emme Custer, Bailey Redford, Ashlin Hudson and Bailey Martin. Crawley had 10 kills and six blocks, Redford had four aces and Hudson had three. Junior Kourtney Goens had 10 kills and Emory Coe served up six aces.
