The Roanoke College men’s and women’s basketball teams return from a short Thanksgiving break with games on the road this week.
The men were scheduled to play their Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener on Wednesday of this week at Guilford, but results were too late for publication. On Saturday the Maroons are at Randolph-Macon for a 2 pm game, then they’re off until December 19 when they participate in the Hampden-Sydney Tournament.
The men come into the week at 4-1. They won’t play another home game until the Cregger Invitational on December 29 and 30.
The Roanoke women are 3-1 after defeating North Carolina Wesleyan in their last game before Thanksgiving on November 22nd. The Maroons took a 70-62 win at home.
The women were also scheduled to play Guilford in the second game of an ODAC doubleheader with the men on Wednesday. Roanoke will play Shenandoah University this Saturday at 4:30 pm in Winchester, then they’re off until the Jamie Lynn Roberts Fairfield Inn DC Holiday Classic in Washington, DC, beginning December 15. The next home games are December 29 and 30 when they host the Susan Dunagan Holiday Classic.
