Front row, left to right with sport and college, are Emme Custer-basketball Shenandoah University, Bailey Redford-lacrosse UNC-Chapel Hill and Gabby Crawley-basketball UVA-Wise. Back row, left to right; Ronnie Frith-lacrosse Roanoke College, Mason Hale-baseball Ferrum College, Chase Rutledge-baseball Concord University, Brayden White-baseball Ferrum College, Carson Garland-lacrosse Roanoke College, Holden Custer-lacrosse Barton College, Richard Hof-lacrosse Barton College and Zach Bocock-baseball James Madison University. “Another tremendous day to get to celebrate with 11 of our student-athletes that are signing to play at the next level,” said Salem athletic director Drew Barrett. “Every one of these athletes has excelled on the playing field or court and in the classroom. The average GPA for these 11 student-athletes is 3.823, with four of them over a 4.0. We are extremely proud of all of them and can’t wait to keep up with them at the collegiate level.” PHOTO BY SC OTT G ARD NE R
