The Glenvar girls saw their losing streak reach 46 with a home loss to Eastern Montgomery Tuesday. The Highlanders dropped a 55-37decision to fall to 0-4 on the young season despite 22 points by Audrey Moles .
Glenvar hosted Hidden Valley last week and hung tough with the Class 3 opponent before the Titans pulled away for a 52-35 win. Moles led Glenvar with 15 points and Grace Fiedler had 11.
On Monday the girls were at Craig County and figured to be competitive with the Class 1 Rockets. However, Craig’s Emily Smith lit them up for 33 points and the Rockets took a 66-32 win. Moles had 11, Fiedler had eight and Raegan Duncan scored five points.
“We are doing some things right, but turnovers are really hurting us,” said Glenvar coach Cheryl Hayes. “ We couldn’t buy a basket against Craig. That happens some nights.”
The girls are back in action Friday at William Byrd for their final game before the holiday break.
