The Roanoke College wrestling team, ranked number one in the nation in Division III, remained undefeated in dual matches with a 42-3 win over Marymount last Sunday afternoon. The match was held at the Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke, which has become an annual attraction for the RC team.

With the win the Maroons improved to 12-0 in duals. RC started the match with four-straight technical falls: Mac Cafurello (19-3 at 125), Jude Robson (20-5 at 133), Mark Samuel (15-0 at 141) and Taylor Smith (21-6 at 149).

Casey Smith scored the only pin of the afternoon at 157 in 4:37.

After Marymount earned a decision victory at 165, the Maroons posted two technical falls with Joe Zereini (17-2 at 174) and Brock Sullivan (16-1 at 184). Hunter Moore won, 8-2, at 197 and Nicholas Cook closed out the dual at 285 with a dramatic 4-1 win in the sudden victory session.

The Maroons will be back on the mats to take on Greensboro College for a dual in Greensboro, NC on Thursday, January 29.
