Salem Library will be closed on Friday, Feb. 6, for Staff Training.

On the first Saturday in February, thousands of libraries across the world celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day. The celebration this year coincides with “Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day” so the Salem Public Library is celebrating both on Saturday, February 7th. Stop by the library between 10:30-11:30am for ice cream with all the (breakfast-themed) toppings! Kids ages 0-17and their grownups are invited to participate. Children are invited to participate in the February Scavenger Hunt to find paper candy hearts hidden around the children’s area of the library. Find a librarian to collect your prize when you find them all.
