Roanoke men are third, women fourth at ODAC swim meet

Halle Schart of Roanoke College won three events and was named Swimmer of the Meet at the ODAC meet.

The Roanoke College men’s swimming team took third and the women placed took fourth at the four-day 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. RC senior Halle Schart was presented the Women’s Swimmer of the Meet award when the even concluded Saturday.

Schart, from Mount Pleasant, S.C., won three events over the weekend: the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 and 200 backstroke. Schart swam on the fourth place 200 Medley Relay team with Julianna Morrow, Kate Pearson, and Claire Ballard.

Peyton Meyer won the 400 IM in 4:02.35 for the RC men while Ryan Franceys placed second in the 200 free in 1:39.27.

Washington & Lee won both the men’s and women’s ODAC championships. The RC men were third among nine schools competing and the women were fourth among 10.
