Kerr Stadium in Salem will be the site of a men’s lacrosse game between Roanoke College and Illinois Wesleyan University this Saturday. Face off is at 1 pm as the 4-1 Maroons host the 4-2 Titans.
Roanoke is coming off an 11-6 win over Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio last Saturday. Senior Clayton Bewick scored four goals for the Maroons in the win at Selby Stadium.
Roanoke scored three goals in the first quarter while holding the Battling Bishops scoreless. The Maroons scored four more goals in the second quarter and took a 7-2 lead into halftime. Roanoke stifled the comeback effort from Ohio Wesleyan in the second half, with each team scoring four times after the break.
Julian Kammerman and Owen Ameo each contributed two goals in the winning effort.
David Hamilton made 11 saves and earned the win, playing all 60 minutes in the goal for the Maroons.
