The popular “Salem After Five” concert series will return to the Salem Farmers Market this year with a lineup featuring a mix of new performers and returning fan favorites.

Hosted by the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department, the 2026 season will kick off April 24 with a performance by Blackwater, bringing its high-energy rhythm and blues show to downtown Salem.

The remainder of the season will include returning acts Domino and The Kings, along with newcomers Travis Reigh and Frequency.

Concert gates will open at 5 p.m., with performances scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Salem Farmers Market, located at the corner of Main and Broad streets. Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and support local vendors and nonprofit organizations participating in the event.

Food from local vendors, children’s activities and adult beverages from P.A. Short will be available. Admission is $5 for adults, while children 12 and younger will be admitted free.

Proceeds from the concerts will benefit several charitable organizations throughout Salem and the Virginia’s Blue Ridge region, including the Salem Roanoke County Food Pantry, Salem Kiwanis Club, Local Office on Aging, Salem Area Ecumenical Ministries and the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce.

The concert series is sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners.

Organizers note that coolers, outside food and drinks, rollerblades, skateboards and pets are not permitted on the premises.
