The Roanoke College women’s lacrosse team will play two conference games this week, including a Saturday afternoon Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest against Randolph-Macon at Kerr Stadium. The game with the Yellow Jackets will start at 3 pm and is the second game of an Alumni Weekend double header with the men.
Roanoke comes into the week at 4-7 overall but 2-1 in conference games. The Maroons were scheduled to host Eastern Mennonite in an ODAC game on Wednesday of this week.
Last Saturday in Virginia Beach the RC women defeated host Virginia Wesleyan, 19-9. Roanoke led 9-0 after the first quarter and increased the lead to 14-0 before the Marlins scored.
Maddie McDonald posted a team high five goals in the game to bring her season total to 45. She currently leads the ODAC in goals per game and is second in total goals.
Sarah Brisson had a goal and four assists. Zoe Blair, Regan Tharaldson, Savannah Anderson and Katie Fasanaro also had multi-point games.
Kendall Todd played the first 23 minutes in goal, making one save and not allowing a goal. Maddi Barnhorst played the remaining 37 minutes.
