Several Salem students were recognized for academic achievement during the spring 2026 semester at Shenandoah University and the College of William & Mary, while another local student earned a bachelor’s degree from Cedarville University.
At Shenandoah University, 1,019 students earned Dean’s List recognition for the spring 2026 term. To qualify, students must be enrolled full time in bachelor’s degree programs and earn a semester grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.
Salem students named to the Shenandoah Dean’s List were Kameron Brown, Cara Butler, Ethan Fox and Hannah Hylton.
In addition, Shenandoah recognized 437 students on its President’s List for the spring 2026 term. Students earning the honor must be enrolled full time in bachelor’s degree programs and achieve a semester GPA of 3.90 or higher.
Salem students named to the President’s List were Ethan Fox and Hannah Hylton.
Founded in 1875, Shenandoah University is headquartered in Winchester and offers programs at additional locations in Clarke and Loudoun counties, as well as online.
Meanwhile, several Salem students were named to the spring 2026 Dean’s List at William & Mary.
To earn Dean’s List honors, full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students must complete at least 12 credit hours and achieve a 3.6 GPA during the semester.
Students from Salem recognized on the William & Mary Dean’s List were Elizabeth Bocock, Addy Funk, Kaelyn Henzey, Ella Light, Caroline Loveday, Carson Tucker, Adeline Velasquez and Audrey Yates.
William & Mary, located in Williamsburg, is the second-oldest institution of higher education in the United States.
In addition, Johnson Stephens of Salem earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cedarville University.
Cedarville University is an evangelical Christian institution in southwest Ohio that offers undergraduate and graduate residential and online programs in the arts, sciences and professional fields. The university enrolls more than 7,200 students and was ranked among the nation’s top five evangelical universities in The Wall Street Journal’s 2026 Best Colleges in the U.S. rankings.
Cedarville is also known for its Christian-centered campus community and academic programs that integrate faith and learning.
