Several Salem students have been recognized for academic achievement and graduation honors at colleges and universities across Virginia and the Southeast.
At Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, Elijah Bowery of Salem was named to the President’s List for the Spring 2026 semester after earning a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
James Madison University announced several Salem students who graduated during its May 2026 commencement exercises.
Graduating with honors were Treya Gunn, Honors Scholar, Communication Studies; Mateo Moore, summa cum laude, Dietetics; Katelyn Creger, summa cum laude, Elementary Education; Lydia Galbreath, summa cum laude, Elementary Education; and Tate Spitnale, cum laude, Media Arts and Design.

Students named to the Dean’s List at Radford University must complete at least 12 semester hours of graded coursework, earn a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher, receive no grade lower than a C and have no incomplete grades.
