The Roanoke Valley Aquatic Association summer swim season opened at five pools around the Roanoke Valley Monday, including Stonegate Swim Club in Salem. The Gators hosted Spring Run on opening night with backstroke and freestyle events. Above left, Jonah Semones swims the backstroke, and above Stonegate ladies react to the whistle for their event.
