The Bla Fjell (Blue Mountain) Lodge recently was awarded the International Family Lodge of the Year. The award recognizes commitment to providing a high-quality membership experience, fostering a sense of community and making a positive impact to the local area.
The purpose of Sons of Norway nationally is to preserve heritage and culture of Norway and other Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland). It was founded in 1895.
Locally, the Bla Fjell Lodge participates in many community activities, including Adopt-A-School programs, Local Colors, and summer Youth Camps and Cultural Retreats.
Meetings consist of a half hour of gathering time with Nordic refreshments, a half-hour business meeting and an hour of cultural programming.
