Salem’s Lilly Blair is one of two Roanoke College women’s lacrosse players who were named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State team. Blair is a first team selection and Emerson Foster was named to the second team. Both are midfielders.
Blair, a junior, posted a team high 50 goals to go with 10 assists, 38 draw controls, 21 ground balls, and 11 caused turnovers. Blair ranked third in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in goals and sixth in total points on her way to being named 1st team all conference. The Salem native was also named 1st team All Chesapeake Region by the IWLCA.
Foster finished the 2021 campaign with 46 goals and nine assists for 55 total points, both ranking in the top 10 in the ODAC. The junior secured a team high 80 draw controls while picking up 27 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers. Foster was named 1st team All ODAC and 2nd team All Chesapeake Region.
