Cruise-In and Movie Under the Stars is a fund-raiser for the Missions Department, in partnership with the church’s Music and Creative Ministry. Proceeds will benefit a mission trip to the Philippines. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are invited to participate in the cruise-in and movie. The evening also features plate dinners for $7.50 and the outdoor showing of Cars 3. Snacks will be available for the movie for .50 to $3.00. Second Annual Wheelchair Basketball “No Dunking Allowed” event will take place from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Roanoke College Bast Gym. Everyone is welcome. Learn wheelchair basketball basics, participate on skills stations, play in 5 on 5 scrimmages and partake in fun challenges with and against top-level athletes.

- For free family fun join come out to the 11th Annual EastMont Tomato Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Meadowbrook Center in Shawsville, Virginia. The free festival features contests for the tomato art and recipe, as well as competitions for Biggest, Ugliest and Best-Tasting tomato. You can also don your best tomato-themed outfit to compete in the ever-popular Tomato Pageant, and belly up to become the Tomato-Eating champion. The festival will also feature: great food, live music by local bands, a magician and games and more. This year’s festival is being presented by Red Sun Farms, a leader in the true greenhouse vegetable industry, owning and operating farms in all three NAFTA countries: Canada, Mexico and the United States, including nearby Dublin.
