Tyler Coe, a lineman on our Andrew Lewis Middle School team, won more than the Wolverines game with Northside last week. Tyler is also the winner of our football contest.
Coe was the only contestant to miss as few as four games. He missed one high school game, picking Blacksburg over Cave Spring. He had the Hokies winning Saturday and on Sunday he had the Chargers over Washington and the Eagles beating Denver. Other than that he was perfect, so he’ll receive a $50 gift certificate from Mac & Bob’s.
For our 19th hole question I asked you to guess the score of the Roanoke College game with Randolph Macon. The Yellow Jackets won their 28th straight ODAC game by the score of 35-17 and Bill Thorne was pretty close, guessing 37-17. For that he’ll receive a free day of golf at the Salem Municipal Course on Academy Street.
For this week’s 19th hole I’ve got a good one. Craig County is at home for Homecoming and the Rockets will be hosting Eastern Montgomery this Friday. Both teams scored in the 50s last week, so give me your prediction of the Craig-East Mont game at Mitchell Field in New Castle and the closest to the actual score will get a free day of golf.
