FRIDAY, APRIL 5
- The 2019 Roanoke Valley FCA Fellowship Dinner is expected to occur from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Salem Civic Center. Attendees will enjoy a night of fellowship and hear how God is working in the lives of coaches and athletes in the area. Attendees will also enjoy a great dinner and hear inspiring stories of faith from local coaches and athletes, as well as from special guest speaker and former coach Dr. Jeff Duke, one of the leading experts in coaching. Also, in attendance will be former Washington Redskin Renaldo Wynn, of the Joe Gibbs’ Game Plan for Life Ministry.
- A tree planting honoring former Roanoke College President Perry Kendig will take place on the campus at 4 p.m. Mr. Kendig came to RC as a dean in 1952 before serving as president from 1963 to 1975.
SATURDAY, APRIL 6
- Growing Up In the Valley is the largest and most trusted source for parenting information in the area – and the Virginia Family Expo will give attendees the opportunity to visit with over 150 family-friendly area businesses and have some fun doing it for free! Gather information and samples from local businesses that specialize in all things kids and family – such as sports and fitness, learning devices, health and nutrition, day cares and schools, camps, safety products and so much more for kids of all ages! The event will happen from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center.
- From 2 pm to 4 pm, an awards and reception for the first evet Student Ceramic Show will take place at the Salem Museum.
